The education needs assessment that VRCA conducted this summer not only provided us with a better look at the kinds of courses our members need to succeed in the industry, it also motivated us to update the ways in which we communicate education news to our members.
For this reason, VRCA’s education department will no longer publish a printed seasonal catalogue. Instead, we will inform members about changes to courses through our new online course description booklet, in order to most accurately reflect new courses in the curriculum as we add them.
The digital booklet contains a complete list of the courses VRCA has offered or will offer in the near future. A high-level description for each course, as well as the instructor’s name and any relevant professional designations, are included in each course description. Once you’ve decided which courses you’re interested in, simply navigate to the search function on our education calendar page and find details of any upcoming scheduled sessions to sign up.
VRCA has made some initial updates to its professional development curriculum in the last few months, with several new courses being added to our calendar. We plan to add even more new classes throughout 2019.
Additionally, advertising opportunities for this digital booklet will be announced in early 2019, so stay tuned for details!
If you have any questions about the recent changes to the course description booklet, please email VRCA’s education manager Andrea Ringrose at [email protected].
