Dear member,<\/p>\n

Please join us for an important members-only town hall meeting to discuss industry\u2019s response to the new Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) that:<\/p>\n

  1. forces construction workers to join and pay dues to the Building Trades Unions as a condition of working on certain public construction projects where the CBA will be used, which we believe is an infringement of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms;<\/li>\n
  2. disregards government\u2019s obligation for fair, open, and transparent construction procurement processes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Please take a moment to read the BCCA executive summary of the CBA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    We are inviting politicians from both the NDP and BC Liberal parties, and employers from a cross-section of labour affiliations to attend the meeting and to share their perspectives and expertise.<\/p>\n
