RDH Building Science Inc. was commissioned to undertake the industry study on behalf of VRCA. For data collection, RDH distributed a survey and held phone interviews with key members of the construction community.

VRCA was able to hire RDH to perform these activities through a grant received by the Real Estate Foundation of BC (REFBC).

VRCA has begun to act on the results of the study by adding new courses to the Education Calendar. More new courses will be added in the coming months. The topics with the highest level of interest are:

• business management;

• people management;

• legal matters;

• essential construction skills; and

• general soft skills.
