Helping those affected by BC Fires

The B.C. government has called a province-wide state of emergency in response to the hundreds of fires currently burning around the province. Evacuation orders have been issued, leaving many people in need of urgent assistance.

The Vancouver Regional Construction Association and BC Construction Association are coming together in support of the communities being ravaged by the wildfires across the province.

Our industry is strong and we are here to help the people of British Columbia now and in the future when it comes time to rebuild.

How you can get involved

The Red Cross is working across the province to mitigate impacts felt by evacuees impacted by the wildfires. Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be used for immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency and preparedness for future events in British Columbia and Yukon, including consequential events related to the fires.

The Province of British Columbia will match all donations made between Aug. 15 and Oct. 12 by individuals who are B.C. residents, up to a total of $20 million.

We encourage you to donate and support this cause.

Rebuild Communities

The Rebuilding Communities Fund is focused on providing assistance to communities as they rebuild after disaster strikes. Funds raised will ensure that when imminent danger is no longer present, the communities in which industry members live and work will be supported in their rebuilding efforts.
