Community Benefits Town Hall Meeting

Dear member,

Please join us for an important members-only town hall meeting to discuss industry’s response to the new Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) that:

1. forces construction workers to join and pay dues to the Building Trades Unions as a condition of working on certain public construction projects where the CBA will be used, which we believe is an infringement of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms;
2. disregards government’s obligation for fair, open, and transparent construction procurement processes.

We are inviting politicians from both the NDP and BC Liberal parties, and employers from a cross-section of labour affiliations to attend the meeting and to share their perspectives and expertise.
