Starting out as a young fellow on a jackhammer, I continually took advantage of learning and engaging with superiors to grow within the industry. After obtaining my Carpentry Red Seal, I continued this growth into becoming a Site Superintendent on large light industrial and commercial projects. From there, I decided to join Ram Construction and further my development, leading my career path to the role of Director of Construction that I currently hold today.

Through the YCL Committee, I hope to support initiatives that promote a realistic, positive image of our industry, help connect students and emerging professionals to practical career pathways, and strengthen engagement between experienced practitioners and the next generation of leaders. I am a highly experienced Construction Estimator with a background in Architecture and Building Technology from BCIT. Over several years in the industry, I have progressed from Skilled Laborer and CSO to BIM Consultant and Estimator, gaining hands-on expertise across all facets of construction. At ETRO, which has become my professional home, I have led numerous high-profile projects in the Lower Mainland, leveraging my technical knowledge, practical experience, and innovative approach to deliver accurate estimates and solutions that drive project success. Recognized for my dedication, precision, and results-oriented mindset, I thrive on turning complex challenges into well-executed outcomes.

Why do you want to join the VRCA | YCL Committee?

I’m looking for something outside of work where I can connect with my colleagues and be more involved in the construction community. I see the importance of getting young people engaged in this fantastic industry, and YCL provides a platform that shares values I strongly believe in and want to help promote. I also believe that challenging yourself to try new things helps you grow, and I can be a great example that if you step outside your comfort zone, what once seemed unrealistic can become reality!

I began my career in the construction industry at 13 years old, gaining early, hands-on exposure to job sites, materials, and the realities of building. Alongside this, I developed a background in personal training and yoga, where my passion for helping and supporting people was formed and where I learned the value of clear communication, discipline, and individual progress. As my career evolved, I moved into technical specialization, ultimately designing tapered insulation packages for roofing systems and deepening my understanding of building science and constructability. Today, as a Business Development and Technical Representative for Foam Mods, I apply this combined technical and people-focused experience to better support and strengthen the Canadian construction industry.

Why do you want to join the VRCA | YCL Committee?

I am interested in joining to give back to the network and community that has contributed greatly to my professional growth. I value the opportunity to continue offering ideas, perspective, and hands-on support to the events and initiatives sponsored by the VRCA. As someone who is consistently engaged and regularly present at association events, serving as a director feels like a natural next step rather than a departure from my current involvement. I am enthusiastic about volunteering my time and experience in a way that meaningfully supports the organization and strengthens the broader construction community.

As Marketing Director, I would focus on promoting YCL events and initiatives in a way that highlights leadership development, innovation, and real career impact while working collaboratively with VRCA staff and committee members to ensure alignment, professionalism, and consistency. I see this role as an opportunity to give back to the industry, elevate the YCL brand, and help create long-term value for current and future members.

Trade Contractors Division Rep

My construction career began in 2019 as a Project Coordinator with A&H Steel in the rebar industry. Since then, I have progressed through four roles within the company, gaining a broad understanding of operations, project execution, and client relationships. In my current role as Business Development Manager, my focus is on bridging gaps between stakeholders—both within A&H Steel and across the construction industry—to drive collaboration, efficiency, and long-term value. Since becoming part of the Vancouver construction market in 2021, I have contributed to more than 50 awarded projects, supporting residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial developments. Through these experiences, I have played varied roles that extend beyond my organization, helping serve the broader construction community.

Why do you want to join the VRCA | YCL Committee?

I am interested in joining the YCL Committee because of the positive impact it has had on my own development as a young professional. Entering the construction industry can be intimidating, and the YCL provided an environment that encouraged connection, learning, and growth. I would like to give back by supporting YCL members in bridging knowledge and experience gaps, helping them feel confident and prepared in an ever-evolving industry. I have been actively involved with the VRCA since 2021, and in 2024 I helped organize events and served on a committee, gaining valuable experience in collaboration and leadership. As a trade contractor, I aim to be a strong voice for the trades within the YCL, helping strengthen relationships with general contractors and supporting project success across the industry. My background in competitive sports until the age of 24 has shaped my ability to thrive in team environments and work toward shared goals. I am motivated to collaborate with fellow YCL members to create meaningful impact and contribute positively to the construction industry.

Manufacturers & Suppliers Division Rep

With eight years of experience in the construction industry, I began my career at Cooper Equipment in the GTA, where I developed a strong foundation in equipment rentals before transitioning into high-rise construction with UCEL. My career then brought me to Vancouver, where I continued to build expertise at Aluma and ultimately Greywolf, specializing in high-rise access solutions and general construction equipment. My passion for motorized equipment started at a young age—watching Mighty Machines and operating skid steers at my dad’s shop—and has carried through every stage of my career. Today, as Sales Manager at Greywolf, I am responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share while representing a company that aligns closely with my values. We exist to support general contractors, developers, and builders by delivering high-quality, construction-focused service to job sites, and I’m proud to spearhead Greywolf’s involvement in industry initiatives and organizations, ensuring we give back to an industry I’m deeply passionate about.

Why do you want to join the VRCA | YCL Committee?

Organizations like the YCL play a critical role in creating meaningful opportunities through events, networking, and industry engagement that empower people to take the next step in their careers which was fundamental to my own professional growth, and joining the YCL Committee is my way of paying it forward, by helping create inclusive spaces, strong connections, and clear pathways for the next generation of industry leaders.

He has spent nearly his entire legal career practicing exclusively in construction law, representing developers, general contractors, trade contractors, material suppliers, consultants, and construction management firms. Adrian advises clients throughout the full lifecycle of residential and commercial construction projects in British Columbia, with a focus on contract performance, dispute avoidance, and dispute resolution. Why do you want to join the VRCA | YCL Committee?

Yes, happy to start in a volunteer role.

I’m a Construction Coordinator at RAM Consulting, where I work on a mix of transportation, municipal, and utility infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland and Northern Canada. I graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering and am currently an Engineer-in-Training with EGBC. My day-to-day work includes construction coordination, field inspections, contract administration, permitting, and working closely with contractors, consultants, and public owners to keep projects moving. I hold my PMP certification and enjoy being involved in projects from both the technical and coordination side, with a strong interest in growing into leadership roles within the construction industry.

Why do you want to join the VRCA | YCL Committee?

I want to join the YCL Committee to get more involved in the local construction industry outside of my day-to-day project work. While most of my experience has been project-focused, I’m interested in learning how the industry connects at a broader level through organizations like the VRCA. The YCL Committee feels like a practical way to meet peers at a similar stage in their careers, learn from others working in different parts of the industry, and contribute where I can. I’m particularly interested in supporting events and initiatives that bring people together, encourage knowledge sharing, and help build stronger connections across the construction community.
