Are you involved in the building and construction industry and interested in helping to shape the community you live in and leave a lasting legacy?

The District of North Vancouver is looking for a representative of the building industry, who resides on the North Shore to sit on the Advisory Design Panel (ADP). The ADP is responsible for reviewing development applications and public projects against urban design objectives and advising Council and Municipal staff on the design of projects, including site layout, exterior design, building materials, landscape design, and accessibility.

The panel is comprised of 11 volunteers who are experts in their fields and each represent aspects of the construction industry

The role of the building industry representative is to advise on building construction, building materials, and operation to assist in identifying issues that will materially affect the building’s exterior appearance, form or function, or that may impact the surrounding area.

The ideal volunteer will have experience working with a company engaged in the construction of large scale commercial or residential projects, has an intimate knowledge of the North Shore, and is able to provide clear and concise feedback.

The Panel meets approximately once a month on the evening of the second Thursday of the month. Regular attendance is required.
