VRCA has planned two new courses for the new year that will cover much-requested and relevant topics, based on data collected during our recent education needs assessment.
The first new course, Love Them or Lose Them: Employee Retention, is a one-day workshop that will teach participants how to identify key staff members and develop strategies to keep them engaged and fulfilled within their organization. We will be running this class on February 21, with a second class planned for May.
The second new course, entitled Future-Proof Your Workforce: Succession Planning, will cover practical steps and concrete resources to support your organization and plan proactively for leadership transitions. In this one-day workshop, participants will be equipped to identify their current and future leadership requirements to continue moving their organization forward. We will be running this class on March 6, with a second class planned for April.
A very clear need for management and leadership skills in today’s tight labour market was identified in the education needs assessment, and VRCA has responded to the needs with these new course topics.
In the next months, you can look for additional new courses that address the management and leadership needs of our members.
