VANCOUVER, B.C. – The Vancouver Regional Construction Association (“VRCA”) is pleased to announce the 2022 Awards of Excellence Silver Award winners. A total of 140 nominations from 84 separate projects exceeded $2.8 billion in construction value.

This year, 51 Silver Award winners were selected in 17 project categories. These project-specific awards recognize the VRCA’s finest member companies and feature industrial, commercial, institutional, multi-family residential, and special projects.

Project award categories recognize general, trade, mechanical, and electrical contractors, as well as manufacturers and suppliers, who delivered an entire project or a component of a project within the past three years. Criteria include financial benchmarks, use of innovative techniques, challenges and resolutions, safety records, and/or exceptional project management.

Most nominated projects are located in the Lower Mainland. Entries were also received for projects undertaken by member organizations in Penticton, Kamloops and Edmonton. Submissions include hospital redevelopment and expansions; transit station upgrades; university and elementary school projects; infrastructure enhancements; and tenant improvements.

All Silver Award winners will be recognized at the Awards of Excellence Gala October 26, 2022, at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. Gold Award winners in their respective category will be selected from Silver Award winners and will be announced at the Gala.
