2018 Canadian Electrical Code public consultation

Technical Safety BC is reviewing the 2018 Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) to assess the impact of code changes in B.C. and will soon make recommendations to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing on its sustainability of adoption in B.C.

These recommendations will deal with how to proceed on adoption of the CEC and other consequent changes to regulations, if required.

A key component of this work involves working with stakeholders to identify important technical and socioeconomic impacts and to identify any additional issues that are specific to B.C. As a part of review process, Technical Safety BC is looking for industry feedback through an online survey.

The survey will be open until July 30, 2018.
