B.C.’s Energy Step Code Council has released its stakeholder update for January 2019. It discusses news related to local government, learning opportunities, regulations, events and more.
Highlights of the update include:
• A new program that empowers British Columbia’s 1,000-odd building officials as community champions of high-performance buildings;
• Energy Step Code Council visits the BCIT High Performance Building Lab to learn—or brush up on—the basics of airtightness and heat-recovery ventilation; and
• Province sets new deadlines and requirements for energy efficiency in new construction.
