BC Construction Safety Alliance launches daily COVID-19 safety call

The BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA) has launched a daily video conference to answer COVID-19 related questions from the province’s construction industry.

Each morning at 9 a.m., BCCSA’s regional safety advisors will be joined on the line by Dr. Melanie Gorman-Ng, BCCSA’s senior research scientist. Dr. Gorman-Ng is a hygienist with a sub-specialty in epidemiology.

The first call took place Monday, April 6. The 30-minute question-and-answer session will be held every day through at least Thursday, April 9. Depending on demand, the calls may continue for the days and weeks to come.

VRCA member companies can join the live video conference without the need to pre-register. Questions can be emailed ahead of time to [email protected], or you can join the daily call and ask your questions live.

BCCSA has created a brief video to explain the initiative.
