Construction Leadership Forum Returns with a Call to Reset Before the Rebound

Vancouver, B.C. – March 25, 2026 – As the construction industry navigates uncertainty and prepares for what’s next, the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) is bringing leaders together for a critical reset. The Construction Leadership Forum (CLF) returns May 7–9, 2026 at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

Now in its twelfth year, CLF has become a cornerstone event for construction leaders across the Lower Mainland. CLF 2026 is built around a timely theme: Leadership Reset – a call for construction leaders to recalibrate, strengthen their teams, and prepare for what comes next in an evolving and uncertain market. As the industry navigates shifting economic conditions and prepares for future growth, CLF offers a space for leaders to step back from day-to-day pressures and focus on what matters most: how they lead, how their teams perform, and how their organizations adapt and succeed.

“Everyone is watching the market right now – but the most effective leaders aren’t waiting,” said Jeannine Martin, President of the VRCA. “They’re using this time to strengthen their teams, build leadership capacity, and prepare for the future. The Construction Leadership Forum is about creating that space to reset, refocus, and lead.”

Lead Yourself, Lead Others, Lead Your Organization

This year’s program is structured around three core leadership pillars: Lead Yourself, Lead Others, and Lead Your Organization – guiding attendees through the full spectrum of leadership development. Each pillar includes a mix of keynote talks, interactive workshops, and panel discussions designed to deliver practical tools and actionable insights that can be applied immediately on the jobsite and in the boardroom.

Opening Keynote: Love Is Just Damn Good Business

Kicking off the forum is internationally recognized leadership expert and bestselling author Steve Farber, whose work challenges conventional thinking and redefines what it means to lead. Known for his bold idea of operationalizing love as a measurable business practice, Farber will explore how leaders can create more engaged, resilient, and high-performing teams by adopting a more intentional and human approach to leadership. His keynote sets the tone for a program focused on real-world impact and lasting change.

Add-On Option – Winning at RFPs: Strategies and Insights for Contractors

CLF 2026 also features practical, business-critical learning opportunities. This high-impact, three-hour session is designed to give construction professionals a competitive edge by breaking down how proposals are evaluated and what truly moves scores. Through real-world examples, evaluator insights, and hands-on exercises, participants will leave with clear strategies to strengthen submissions, improve win rates, and make more effective pursuit decisions.

Networking & Connection

Beyond the sessions, CLF creates space for real connection and peer-to-peer learning. From the new member reception to interactive networking experiences, attendees will connect with construction leaders from across the Lower Mainland – sharing insights, challenges, and ideas that don’t happen on the jobsite. It’s where conversations get real and relationships move forward.

Registration for the Construction Leadership Forum is now open. Early bird pricing has been extended for a limited time, offering attendees the opportunity to secure their spot and invest in their leadership development. Organizations are encouraged to take advantage of group registration options and send multiple team members to align on leadership approaches and bring shared insights back to the workplace.
