Beyond the Build: VRCA Names 2026 Outstanding Achievement Award Nominees

Vancouver, B.C. – August 28, 2026 – Great construction takes more than great projects. It takes people who challenge what’s possible, push the industry forward, and make it better for everyone. The Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) has named 32 nominees for the 2026 Outstanding Achievement Awards, recognizing the people and organizations making their mark on construction across B.C.

For 37 years, the VRCA Awards of Excellence have recognized achievement through an established, industry-led process grounded in merit, expertise, and impact. The Outstanding Achievement Awards take that recognition beyond the build, celebrating the people and organizations whose leadership and contributions are shaping the future of construction. This year’s nominees have been recognized across eight categories

– Construction Workplace Health & Safety Innovation
– Education Leadership
– Inclusive Leadership in Construction
– Innovation & Productivity
– Outstanding Woman in Construction
– Safety Award
– YCL Excellence in Construction Award
– Zero Emissions Building Leadership

“Construction keeps evolving because people are willing to ask how we can do things better,” said Jeannine Martin, President of the VRCA. “And that’s exactly what this year’s nominees are doing. They’re building safer workplaces, opening doors for others, finding smarter ways to work, and showing what great leadership looks like. We’re proud to recognize the people and organizations who aren’t just succeeding in our industry, they’re helping move it forward.”

Nominees were evaluated through a rigorous review process, with award recipients to be announced live at the 37th Annual VRCA Awards of Excellence Gala on October 16, 2026. The Gala is one of the industry’s biggest nights of the year, celebrating excellence across the Lower Mainland and recognizing the projects, people, and organizations making a meaningful impact in the construction industry.
