VRCA is launching a new, regular feature titled Evolving Education that is designed to keep members informed about new training and course offerings.

In its first Evolving Education story, VRCA is pleased to announce four new courses.

Up first is a new course titled Effective Planning for Foremen. This course focuses on providing a strong foundational knowledge of task planning, and is equally applicable to the foremen of trade and general contractors. This course is designed for foremen of all levels of experience and all trades. It also serves as a good back-to-basics refresher for superintendents. The instructor for this course is Mark Taylor, P.Eng., G.S.C, a construction industry veteran with over 30 years of front-line experience.

We have sessions confirmed for October 25 and January 17.

Additionally, we will be hosting some new Safety courses provided by August Safety Training. VRCA will be hosting Confined Space & Entry Monitoring (AC SA)(BC), Fall Protection and Enform H2S Alive courses starting in October.

  • Confined Space Entry Monitoring is designed for those who may work in or around confined spaces at the work site.
  • Fall Protection is designed for those who will work at heights or any elevated work platform at or above 3 meters or ten feet and not protected by guardrails.
  • H2S Alive is designed for those who need to work and may be exposed to Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) environments.

Watch for upcoming Evolving Education stories to learn about new training and course offerings.
