The Awards of Excellence (AoE) are back for 2026, and we are excited to welcome another year of outstanding projects, innovation, and industry leadership. As we enter the 37th year of this prestigious program, the VRCA Judging Committee and staff have once again reviewed the refined the Awards process to ensure an engaging, transparent, and inclusive experience for our members.
Building on feedback from recent AoE participants, judges, and VRCA members, we have introduced thoughtful updates to the 2026 nomination and adjudication process to better support nominees and showcase excellence across our industry.
We invite you to explore the 2026 Awards of Excellence and learn how to submit your project for consideration.
2026 Nomination Process
As we look ahead to 2026, marking the 37th year of this prestigious competition, the judging committee and VRCA staff have once again reviewed the process, adjudication, and event to continue enhancing the experience for our members.
Building on the strong momentum from the 2025 Awards of Excellence, we are excited to see what this year will bring. The expanded Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) content introduced last year was very well received, and we look forward to seeing how members continue to meaningfully engage with these topics in 2026.
We also gathered valuable feedback from the 2025 event and submission process. In response, we will be incorporating refinements aimed at further streamlining the presentation and adjudication process, while maintaining transparency and fairness. In addition, the project videos submitted last year were a great enhancement to the gala experience. We are excited to receive even more high-quality submissions this year, along with stronger photo and video representation to showcase each project.
